Falling Back

Last night in Europe the clocks went back an hour, which means one less hour of daylight in the evenings.

The United States, in hopes of hanging on to the longer days and using less electricity in doing so, changed their daylight savings time this year for both the spring and autumn and still have another week to wait for that extra hour of sleep, or if you happened to be working that night, an extra hour of work.

What do you enjoy about the time change, if anything?

Zippity Doo Dah

It's Monday and I'm 'home alone'. Guess what that means? It means that I can do any little ole thing my heart desires. I can play the music too hard, I can sing at the top of my lungs, (and from the top of table if I so desired) I can create, create, create.

I love being with my darling, but there are times when a girl needs a little 'home alone' time.

Time to play!

Things to Remember

I love quotes, so I was thrilled this morning when I came across this quote that I hadn't seen before. Not only is it beautiful, it is also thought provoking and something that I will carry close to my heart. There is much truth in those few words.

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.” Joseph Addison

Slowing Down

The weekend is upon us, and I'm ready to settle down and enjoy the Autumn weather.

I've been feeling a bit run down, and I think it's my bodies way of telling me to 'slow down' and take it easy for a while. Luckily, all the madness of multiple appointments and dashing here and there is over, and I can settle in and enjoy the cooler temps, the beautiful weather, and shorter days.

The weekend is going to be one of relaxation. I just got home a little while ago from taking a 2 mile walk through the park and some local gardens, which was fun and even more so, relaxing.

Now, the bath water is running, and I'm headed for a quick soak before curling up in my pj's with a cup of green tea or cappuccino, under my favorite blanket to watch a movie.

What will you do this weekend? Don't forget to take the time to slow down, look around you and enjoy your surroundings. Remember that each moment is unique in that it will never be repeated exactly as it is at that second.

P.S.

You can definitely expect regular updates from now on. Since I haven't written in a while, I decided to delete my old entries and begin anew.

So check this space often!

Life In The Fast Lane

I can't believe that it's been so long since I've darkened these 'cyber halls'. What can I say, other than it's been an extremely busy year for both Marcel and myself. As much as I've enjoyed spending time exploring other countries, and having fun, I'm happy that things have finally settled down and we can start enjoying the cooler temps and fabulous foliage that I've been seeing.

I've been walking quite often, and the cooler temps and beautiful weather only add to the desire to spend my time outside. As the days unfold, maybe I'll share photos of our holidays and also of Chucky and Mister M, who are as adorable and sweet as ever.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day and enjoying the gorgeous fall weather that is around us.
